MGSOC General Meetings are free to MGSOC members and MGSOC members are required to wear their Master Gardener badges. Visitors are welcome and pay $5.00 at the door. Members and visitors, please sign in at the welcome table. There are complimentary refreshments of desserts and drinks served at the MGSOC meetings. Additionally, mini-meals of soup or salads may be purchased for $3.00. For those wishing meals, mini-meals are served at 6 p.m, the business meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Our speakers begin promptly at 7 p.m. Members making or bringing meal portion salads or soups need not pay the $3.00.

Dr. Erin Hill, Weed Science Diagnostician for MSU Plant & Pest Diagnostics, will help us wage the war on weeds at the MGSOC March 2020 meeting. She will discuss the biology and management of some of our most tiresome weed species. In order to help prepare better intel on the enemy, she has asked us to submit any pictures of weeds, or names of weeds, that have been causing grief in our gardens. Please send pictures or names to firstname.lastname@example.org by October 15th and include "WEEDS 2020" in the subject line.

A series of bi-monthly events that offer educational and recreational opportunities for visitors to venture the farm in the nighttime and explore fascinating natural science topics.
The hikes will take place the last Friday of every other month. These events are open to the public and will particularly appeal to scout groups, families, and anyone with a thirst for knowledge and adventure.
Each hike will incorporate different themes fitting to the month or season.
Advance registration will be required
$10 each session
Light snacks and beverages provided
